Every year as summer was coming to an end and another school year was about to begin, there was always one word that came to mind...the "F" word that is. Minds out of the gutter please, I'm talking about FASHION! Rocking my new back to school wardrobe was really all I was excited for at the beginning of a school year. I may not have to go back to school this year, but I've still got the scoop on the hottest back to school fall fashion trends for 2015.
A preppy sweater is a must-have in your back-to-school wardrobe this fall. Plain sweaters are great when paired with printed or patterned bottoms. If you opt for a printed or patterned sweater, keep the bottoms plain and simple. You want each piece to compliment one another, not overshadow.
Lace is a timeless classic that is appropriate for all ages. Whether your style is tomboy or girly, a little bit of lace can go a long way. A lot of designers are adding a touch of lace to their athletic apparel this season to put a classic spin on an otherwise casual style. A lace blouse is a great transitional piece from summer into fall. What I personally love about lace is how lightweight it is.
Fit and Flare Dresses are another great transitional piece for any season. If your dress has no sleeves a simple cardigan can take the look from summery to fall. The same can be said for shoes. Sandals and open-toed shoes are great while it's still warm out, but when the temperatures start to drop switching up your look with tights and boots is a great choice.
I can not get enough plaid in my closet this season! I mean really, you just can't go wrong with this print...unless of course you mix it with other patterns or loud colors. The same rule of thumb applies to plaid just like any other pattern, stick with one focal piece to accentuate the plaid.
You can never go wrong with a great pair of jeans. This year is all about the denim look so if you don't already own a pair of jeans, I suggest you invest! The fabulous thing about denim is its versatility from casual to sporty to chic, the right top and shoes can completely change your look.
