Matte Nails

I finally found a matte top coat and attempted the manicure everyone is sporting nowadays. I went to 3 different drugstores to find this top coat. Seriously, how can all these chain stores be out of matte polish? Is someone buying it in bulk in NJ? Sharing is caring.

My biggest problem with black nail polish is keeping it on my nail and not my skin. I literally have to paint my nails perfectly because any little imperfection shows with black polish. I'm an Essie girl and love me some licorice, a staple color every girl should have. When painting your nails, remember my little trick from an earlier post to the perfect DIY manicure.

This matte top coat by Revlon dried within a minute or so. It seems to be holding up pretty well thus far, considering I'm always doing something that makes my nails chip. I'll check back in at the end of the week with an update of how well it stayed on.

 

My next task is to master the French matte mani. Any pointers ladies?
