Celebrity Clothing Lines

08 January 2014

Take a second and find the links between these celebrities.....take your time...no rush.....

Give up? Well Lauren Conrad went to high school with Kristin Cavallari who is married to Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler. Also married to athletes, uh or were married to athletes, are 2/3 of the Kardashian trio Khloe and Kim who is now engaged to rapper Kanye West who has his own clothing line, much like Marc Anthony who was married to Jennifer Lopez who performed at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards with Selena Gomez who started her career as a child star on Barney, unlike Jessica Simpson who did not land the part as a child actor on the Mickey Mouse Club, but did snag a reality show with ex-husband Nick Lachey on MTV like Samantha Giancola who was cast on the hit reality show Jersey Shore as one of the stars of a dysfunctional group of guidos/guidettes partying in Seaside Heights, not too far off from the dysfunctional Sofia Vergara is part of on the hit show Modern Family.

Is your head spinning yet? Well, all you would have had to say was that these celebrities all have their own clothing line and I would have stopped my rant. Yes ladies, these 8 women have all ventured off and created a brand of clothing, shoes, accessories, perfumes, handbags, makeup, and bedding which has only added to their networth. It seems that literally anyone who has their 5 seconds of fame is starting their own line of something and we as consumers just have to get our hands on it. These ladies however all have lines that are affordable and sold at retail stores.

Translation: Us average folk can actually afford designer clothes without maxing out our credit cards! We still get the selfish satisfaction of knowing we're wearing a brand name piece from a well-known celeb, but without the guilt of overpaying.

If you follow my blog then you probably know how obsessed with Lauren Conrad's style I am. LC by Lauren Conrad is her exclusive line available only at Kohl's. Shoes, jewelry, dresses, tops, blazers, handbags, jeans, bedding..this woman does it all! My personal favorite would have to be her shoes which range from boots to flats to heels to wedges to sandals. For a designer shoe, they are really affordable at no more than $60, and keep in mind that Kohl's always has a sale going on and 15-30% off your entire purchase with your Kohl's charge. Needless to say, my Kohl's card always has something on it.

Kristin Cavallari has stolen my heart with her shoe line for Chinese Laundry. Now I must admit, these shoes are a bit pricey, even for my blood. But they're PERFECT! Definitely something I'm putting on my birthday, Christmas, Easter, Valentine, St. Patty's, Thanksgiving, and any other holiday lists I can make. If you do decide to splurge on a pair, rest assured that they are great quality and made from the finest leather. I have a few pair of Chinese Laundry flats and boots that are going on 5 years old and still look brand new. You get what you pay for.

What don't the Kardashians put their name on? They've got a nail polish line, cosmetics line, perfumes, clothing boutiques, shoes, clothing, accessories, bedding, lingerie, handbags, and swimsuits...just to name a few. The most affordable of the list is their Kardashian Kollection featured exclusively at Sears. The sisters just revamped their collection and introduced a bunch of new styles which I'm loving. My favorite is their jewelry.
There's something for everyone's budget and range from dainty necklaces to statement rings and quirky bracelets. I like to order my pieces online because of the exclusive coupon codes offered at Sears.

Jenny from the block has found a way to capture her style and sophistication in her Jennifer Lopez collection exclusively at Kohls. Every piece in her collection is chic and definitely current with the trends. The clothing is versatile to transition from a day in the office to drinks with the girls to a hot date with your hunny. What I love about this line is her consistency. JLO keeps her apparel and accessories classy and doesn't try to appeal to all audiences. If she wouldn't wear it, then it doesn't go into the collection. Just like my girl Lauren Conrad's line, being sold at Kohls means everything is constantly on sale and using your charge will assure you a minimum of an additional 15% off.

When you're ready come and get it..nah nah nah nah...the Dream Out Loud line by Selena Gomez that is. Sold exclusively at Kmart, a majority of the clothing in this line is targeted for teens, but age is just a number. My top picks featured in the left photo are super trendy right now and don't look too juvenile. I especially love that sequin tank top. Layer it under a blazer with some skinny jeans and pumps and you'll have all the boys swooning over you. Maybe that's why the Biebs just rekindled his romance with Selena. Gotta love a girl with style.

Perhaps one of the most successful women's collections is that of Jessica Simpson's. There's not one piece I don't love from her line which is sold at Macy's. I admire Jessica for including plus and petite sizes to accommodate women of all sizes. Everyone isn't a perfect size 2 and who is the fashion industry to deny women the right to wear trendy, designer clothing? You go Jessica Simpson!

Jersey's in the house! I have to represent my fellow Jersey girl, Sammi Sweetheart. Her new clothing and accessory line, Sweetheart Styles is pretty chic for the guidette who wore nothing but booty shorts on television. There's still some Jersey in her collection with tons of crop tops and bodycon dresses. There's also a nice mix of chiffon and silk pieces too. I'm loving the camo harem pants. Pair them with some black pumps and a black sweater and I'm set!

She made me want to drink Diet Pepsi and now she's making me want her line at Kmart. Sofia by Sofia Vergara is made for women with curves and not afraid to show them off. Everything in this collection is ridiculously affordable. I saw a shirt on sale the other day for $8! My favorite would have to be the shoes. Look at those red heels! I'm in love.
