Winter Accessories

I'm currently sitting in my bed, wrapped in two snuggies, under the covers trying to thaw myself out after coming in from Jack Frost's winter wonderland outside. The forecast says us New Jersey folk are supposed to get 6 - 10 inches of snow....lovely. I can only imagine what my commute is going to be like tomorrow. But, I do know that I will be bundling up in my warmest winter accessories as I dig my car out and look fabulous doing it.

I see so many girls bundle up and sacrifice their style for warmth. Hello! You can have both ladies. I am not a fan of being cold and am the first one to layer up, but I don't let my personal style hide beneath the layers. You know those boring mix and match scarf/hat/mitten sets they sell at department stores? If you don't know what I'm talking about you're a liar because I'm sure everyone's parents dressed them in that with their little puffy snowsuits as a kid. Anyway, those are a no no and so BORING. Rock your favorite green infinity scarf with your peplum pea coat, cream ruffled gloves, and ivory beanie. Be daring with a vintage muff, animal print ear warmers, and chunky sequin scarf. Look smokin' hot while keeping warm.

PSST...I'm going to let you in on a little secret of mine. For a little extra warmth when I know I'm going to be exposed to the cold for a longer time, I layer one of my mom's handmade scarves underneath my fashion scarf. Mama Moran knits the best scarves which will make you sweat they're so warm.
For a casual look, I'll wear them with a sweatshirt, jeans, and Uggs like in the picture below.
