Forever 21 Swimsuit Review

Some people wake up and check their emails, Instagram account, or Facebook. I wake up and check my favorite sites for new arrivals. Can we say shopping problem? Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to see Forever 21 had uploaded their summer 2014 swim collection. If you're looking for quality, then I don't recommend Forever 21's swimsuits. They're not the most durable when in water and have very little padding. But if you're looking for a cute suit to tan in, the price of their bikinis and one pieces are so affordable you can buy 2 or 3 for the price of a suit from other retailers.

 

I'm not much of a swimmer, so the swimsuits I own from Forever 21 last me a long time and earn me a lot of compliments. Whether I'm just sitting in my backyard, at the beach, or at a pool party, if I don't feel comfortable and confident in the suit I'm in, it's written all over my face.

 

Forever 21 is on point with their choice of colors, patterns, and designs this year. If you remember from my earlier post, fringe is definitely in this season and tribal prints are a must have. I especially love the incorporation of macrame into the swim tops. Not something I suggest tanning in unless you want some funky tan lines, but very very cute for pool parties or late night dips.

Forever 21 Plus: Swim Collection 14'

One of my favorite things about Forever 21 is their plus size options. If you've ever bought anything from this store, you know that sizing runs a bit small, at least I find it does. The plus size apparel starts at size XL, which I don't necessarily consider being plus. I don't like my clothing too snug so I always opt for a size bigger anyway.

 

High waisted bikinis are hot for summer. They're everywhere! I just like the fact that I can rock a bikini and hide my pooch at the same time. The plus size bikinis are ruched siding and extra thick material to hold everything in. Personally, I like these designs more than the regular size swimsuit designs.

And since when does Forever 21 sell towels? I stumbled upon this when searching through the swimsuits and right in the middle of the selection was a towel. A little odd, but still cute. I mean it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the towels I always splurge on from Victoria's Secret.

 

 

 

 

 

Lastly, I can't forget about the awesome mix and match deals. Pick your favorite color or print top and mix or match with the available bottoms. This is an amazing deal because you can create your own bikini for just $9.60! The downfall...there is only one style of top and bottom to choose from. For $9.60, beggars can't be choosers.
