All that Glitters is Gorgeous

Today's post features my gorgeous little sister, Alison. I styled her for an upcoming holiday party using my new All That Glitters skirt from Shoot the Moon, LA as a statement piece. This skirt is great for a holiday part or New Year's Eve and it's lined! Have you ever worn a sequin skirt without lining where the sequins keep rubbing against your leg...very uncomfortable!

The chiffon blouse is from Old Navy. I prefer a looser fitting top to balance the form fitting skirt.

Those gorgeous heels are Chinese Laundry which I got from Nordstrom last year. I know a lot of people are against open toed shoes in the winter, but formal occasions are an exception. Just make sure you have a fresh pedicure! (unpainted toes are such a pet peeve of mine!)

Keep the accessories simple. The gold necklace on Alison is from Torrid to bring the look together. A touch of red lipstick to add some color to her face and she's ready to party!
