I read one online post stating
"the Duchess of Cambridge has proven that everything she touches—really everything—turns to style gold."
Really? Just because she wore sheer pantyhose for two weeks straight she has rewrote the book on fashion? Pantyhose sales in the UK have been reported at an all time high since the Duchess brought so much attention to her leg wear.
Honestly, I don't think this trend will ever catch on in the U.S. and if it does and it'll be a VERY tacky one. Sheer tights are a thing of the past and need to remain buried in the fashion graveyard.
Would you wear sheer pantyhose if they became fashionable in the U.S. again?
I saw a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Middleton together. If you looked at their legs and feet and were honest, you'd say that Kate Middleton's legs looked awesome, while Sarah's looked horrible. It is no contest. The sheer, upscale hosiery win every time.
ReplyDeleteGo bare, but look trashy. Go with the hose, and add some elegance.
Here's that Kate and Sarah comparison.

I'll agree on that one. Sarah's feet and legs are too veiny and need to be covered up. For SJP, it's age appropriate to wear tights if you notice your legs starting to look like that and you're not a "spring chicken" anymore. But let's face it, you're not going to see teens and young adults running to the drug store to buy some pantyhose to wear with their dresses anymore. It's all about dressing according to your age and body.
