How would you wear your piko shirt? With some jeans or slacks? That's the normal response; but there are literally infinite ways to wear this top. These are my top 5 personal favorite ways to style/wear your piko shirt.
1. Keep it Simple with Leggings or Jeans
Remember, less is more. Piko tops are chic enough to pair with boots, sandals, or wedges for a dressed up or casual look.
2. Accessorize with jewelry or scarves
I love a nice chunky over sized scarf is the best accessory for any season. Lightweight in the warm months and knitted when it's cold, a scarf really brings a whole outfit together. For a more sophisticated style, try a bubble or teardrop necklace. Long chain necklaces are a nice touch to up the elegance of the outfit.
3. Tuck It In
Pull an outfit together by tucking your piko top into your bottoms, whether they be jeans, slacks, shorts, or a skirt. These tops can be very baggy and hide your curves. Tucking it in will create the illusion of a defined waistline or show off your vivacious figure.
This style is one of my favorites. Piko tops come in a variety of lengths and even as dresses. For the fall, the longer tunics are adorable with a pair of knee high boots or wedges. To accentuate your waistline, add a belt to cinch the dress/tunic.
5. Layered
Cardigans, jackets, or shawls add a layer of dimension to your piko top. You can mix and match colors for a bold statement. Do too many layers make you hot? Me too. Luckily, piko tops do come in short sleeves and are of a very lightweight material which feels like you have nothing on.
Piko tops are for every and any body type...even if you're pregnant! These make wonderful maternity tops because they're over sized, baggy, and comfortable. And you don't have to shop in the maternity section for pikos. Feel good about your style and what you wear.
My top places to snag a piko top are:
Minx
KiKi La'Rue
The Rage
Amour Boutique
Rustic Lace Boutique
Rolling Rack Boutique
What is your favorite way to wear a piko top?
I noticed that all these boutiques are out of stock/have limited selection of piko tops... but then I found ShopImpressions.com! Maybe you can add this to your list? They're also a dollar or two cheaper than every other site I found. Thanks for the article!
