To the Men in our Lives...

This is a casual reminder that Valentine's Day is a mere two days away. I'll give you a pass if you live in the northeast because heaven knows this constant snow is a real nuisance. For everyone else...shame on you! Luckily, you gentlemen have me to give you a last minute gift suggestion for that special someone. I came across this fabulous jewelry company that will score you major brownie points, Athra Luxe.

Athra Luxe is a house of designers with an extensive background from jewelers, artists, and crafters influenced from around the world creating inspired collectable pieces. As the luxury collection of Athra, the designs have a distinctive elegance giving the essence of fine jewelry tailored to the everyday woman but at an affordable price. 

Now for The Fashion Minute, the price point is higher than my normal features, but for Valentine's Day, this is an exception. Still very affordable for such a luxurious jewelry line, Athra Luxe pieces make great gifts if you're just starting out in a relationship, but want to give her something meaningful. It's not diamonds, which means commitment, but it's not something in the jewelry section at Wal-Mart either.  Yes, there are pieces under $100 which is not an exorbitant amount to spend on your sweetheart.

The fact that Athra Luxe has been worn by celebrity clientele (Recently at the 2013 American Music Awards by actress & singer Lauren Mayhew ) & Featured in magazines & blogs such as Upscale Living "Best of Luxury" issue Magazine, JCK Magazine, InStore & InDesign Magazine, Lucky Magazine -Community & Elucid Magazine , Fashion Rooftop, FashinNY , and Fashion Foot to name a few, ups the must-have factor of this line.


Here are a few of my favorite pieces. I love how versatile everything is and can be paired with a casual outfit of jeans and a button down or used to glam up an evening gown or any formal attire.

The hoop earrings are my top pick. Hoops are always in style and a staple in any girl's jewelry box. There's the perfect amount of bling to be sophisticated, but not gaudy. From a symbolic view, hoops are circles which signify infinity or eternity because there is no beginning or end...trust me, girls always look for hidden meanings in gifts.

Just looking at the jewelry in this line, I figured it was WAY out of my price range at a couple hundred per piece. Not to toot my own horn, but I have a pretty good eye for jewelry, so if I thought everything was expensive, so will your lady. And she doesn't have to know how much you truly paid...I'll keep a secret.


If you really want to win her heart, the ruby red and white cubic zirconia ring and/or earrings are the answer. I'm a huge ring fan, so if you're tight on cash, this ring seems a bit more versatile to me than the earrings. But if you can afford both, go for the complete set.
