I'm big on coupon codes, because I don't believe in paying full price for anything. As a style rep, I'm so happy that I can offer a code to help my fellow fashionistas save too.

If you're not already following me on Instagram, what are you waiting for?! I will be posting sneak peeks of new arrivals, hosting giveaways, and offering styling tips.

Never heard of Shoot The Moon, Los Angeles? It's a new boutique based out of Los Angeles offering women's clothing and accessories at affordable prices. Owner, Carrie Litten, started this site in an effort to provide women all over the world with high quality, affordable fashion.

Why are their pieces so affordable? They sell the same items you find at high-end boutiques in cities across the country.  By selling online only, they avoid paying sky-high monthly rent. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, Shoot The Moon can buy in smaller, more frequent batches. This allows them to keep inventory fresh and up-to-date with the current trends!

Shoot The Moon carries vintage one-of-a-kind dresses at prices drastically lower than the actual designer. This Versace dress is fabulous for cocktail parties, events, and weddings. Paired with the Beaded Bliss Necklace and To Go Please clutch, you are sure to turn heads in this number.

I love a little black dress and recommend every girl have one as a staple in their closet. The simplicity of black leaves the door wide open for pops of color with your jewelry and shoes. (Remember you get 10% off everything with my code!)

I can see this glamour dress being rocked on a red carpet. This black and gold Tadashi dress had intricate detailing on the shoulders and sophisticated mesh sleeves with gold accents. Paired with the Victorian Beauty earrings and Who's That Girl clutch, it's just enough added glam without going overboard. This dress speaks for itself!

Deal of the Week: Diamonds in the Midnight Sky Dress
Be sure to check for their weekly deals. This week, the Diamonds in the Midnight Sky dress which has been featured on The Fashion Minute before is on sale! Plus you get an additional 10% off with my code. Talk about super savings!

The $15 and under section is a bit overwhelming because you'll want one of everything. The Carefree Tee is only $11 and super trendy for summer. Another big trend right now is animal jewelry. How cute are those Elephant Never Forgets Bay earrings?! They're so dainty and delicate.

This post wouldn't be complete without showcasing a few of my favorite looks. I especially love the first look. Scalloped detailing on the shorts are very flattering. The colors work perfectly for transitioning from spring to summer. I'd wear this outfit to a BBQ or concert. For a bit more sophistication, I suggest the third look. The printed shorts are loose fitting and pair beautifully with any color top. The bright pop of pink really works well for summer. Add some wedges or pumps to complete the look.

I know you're dying to snag some of these looks, so I'll stop now and let you go browse their site. Don't forget to enter my discount code at checkout! KELLY10

Louis Vuitton Taste on a Walmart Budget

22 July 2013

Fashion is a form of art, a way to express yourself through clothing, makeup, and accessories. It doesn't matter how much money you spend, but how you carry yourself and convey your personality through how you dress. I see so many people trying to mimic the styles of celebrities because of how the media portrays them. Society has seemed to place this unrealistic standard of what is considered trendy, thus leading others to think they have to break their bank to be accepted, not to mention the lengths some go to by compromising their health to achieve this warped image of beauty.

What's the point of this rave you ask? You don't need to be a millionaire to keep up with the latest trends in the fashion industry. Trust me, I am no where near rich, but I certainly have Louis Vuitton taste on a Walmart budget. So how do I keep up with a stylish market that charges $3,500 for a simple tank top?

The savings are endless if you put the time in.

My personal favorite sites to find cheaper versions of expensive outfits are:

Chicisimo is an affiliate of Ebay and allows fashionistas to upload images of their style, label where each piece is from, and link it to their blog where they can go in more depth about the outfit.

There's nothing more that upsets me then finding a photo of a cute outfit online and not being able to find the designer, store, or site where I can get it. The Hunt is a great site to search the Internet for apparel and accessories you fall in love with, but have no back links to where you can purchase them.

Polyvore is my favorite site to play designer and create my own looks to share. With options to browse, create, or shop, Polyvore encompasses it all in one spot. The filters make it easy to search for items in your price range, desired color, and even from specific brands.
