Maxi Monday

 

 

 The maxi dress is one article of clothing that doesn't receive as much credit as it deserves. Long sleeve, short sleeve, tank top, or strapless, this dress comes in a variety of styles suitable for all seasons. However, summer is my favorite time to rock the floor length dress. What's the summertime secret you ask? I'll tell you only if you promise to keep it between us...promise? Ok, well here it is.

Waxing is expensive and time consuming and shaving everyday can be a hassle. Maxi dresses cover that leg stubble and are still cool and comfortable.

Watch out Poseidon

Modcloth.com has two new dresses that will make you the new ruler of the sea. Dress that Launched 1000 Ships in Storm and Dress that Launched 1000 Ships in Dusk have long goddess skirts that make for an elegant look without compromising comfort. I'd wear these dresses with some low wedges or sandals with minimal jewelry to accentuate the patterns. As for hair, I'd go with it down and maybe a side braid to add a Grecian feel to the look. I don't know about anyone else, but when the warm weather starts arriving I don't always have the time to shave my legs everyday which is why these maxi style dresses are ALWAYS in my closet.
