What I Wore: Sweater Dress & Riding Boots

18 November 2014

The best time to wear a striped sweater, is all the time! One with a collar, turtle neck..that's the kind! Name that show! ............. lol who remembers that from SpongeBob? Yes, I said SpongeBob.

Anyway, can you guess the theme of this post? I recently got this striped sweater dress from Old Navy. Not only did I get a lot of compliments on it, but it was so comfortable. This dress is the equivalent of bumming it around in sweatpants, except super cute!

The boots were an early birthday present from mommadukes. If you read my post on wide calf boots then you're familiar with my struggle to find boots to fit my not even wide calves! Well these boots are in fact NOT wide calf and fit perfectly. They have some stretch to them and dexflex comfort soles. (highly recommend these!)

My bracelet is from Kohl's and I get so many compliments every time I wear it. It's a timeless classic and was under $15! (plus you know Kohl's always has a sale going on)

Wide Calf Boots Under $100

28 October 2014

It's always a struggle to find a big good pair of boots, let alone a pair that fits my calves...and I don't even have big calves! The average boot has a calf circumference of 15" which on me is a bit snug. It's so frustrating because all the cute boots don't fit and when I search for wide calf, they're either fugly or entirely too big. There's no in between! Now, I know I can't be the only one struggling with this. So in my countless hours of research to find a good quality boot that not only fit my calves but my budget, I came across these beauties.

None are over $100 and they all fit between a 16" and 18" calf. Hallelujah! Don't exactly know your calf size? Take a tape measurer and measure around the widest part of your calf and there you have your calf circumference. It's not rocket science.

On a side note, I recommend boots with an elastic panel in the back for added stretch. It may seem snug at first, but it stretches out within a few hours of wear for the perfect fit!

National Shoe Lover Day

25 October 2014

In my world, Shoe Lover Day is everyday. But since DSW is making today the big day, I just had to partake in the festivities. Shoes are my ultimate weakness. Let's just say if I had to choose between food or shoes....well, at least my feet would be covered.

I just got these adorable booties in the mail today from UOIONLINE and let me tell you they're ridiculously comfortable.

In honor of this shoetabulous day, here are just a few of my favorite shoes.

If the Shoe Fits...

21 January 2014

This pretty much describes my mood today after seeing some of the new arrivals at Hope's today.

I just wish this boutique would come to the tri-state because I'm so impatient when it comes to shipping!

Anyone who knows me will tell you I have a total shoe obsession. Heels, flats, boots, sandals, wedges, any height, any color, any style..doesn't matter to me, I must have it.

The shoes that Hope's previewed this week are something FIERCE. They're versatile enough to wear now and stay fashionable through the spring.

And what's a fabulous pair of shoes without a killer outfit?! La-la-love how Hope's photographs complete looks. Free styling? I'll take it. I'm especially in love with the burgundy blouse and heels. Expect my order Hope's!
